Effective communication is at the heart of great care. The Communication feature makes it simple for caregivers, residents, and family members to stay connected, share updates, and coordinate daily care. In this article, we’ll show you how to use the chat to make communication faster, clearer, and more organized.
Messages
You can access the chat by navigating to Messages in the bottom-left corner of the menu.
From there, you can take the following actions:
Send a direct message to one or more people.
Start a chat with everyone who has a role in a specific organization.
Start a broadcast channel to share announcements with everyone who has a role in a specific organization.
Broadcast channels
Broadcast channels allow you to share important updates or announcements with your organization at once. Unlike direct messages or group chats, broadcast channels are one way: you send the information, and caregivers can read it without replying in the same thread. In dala, caregivers can react to messages with emojis, making it easy to acknowledge updates or show support. This feature ensures everyone in your organization stays informed and connected.
Managers can reply directly in the broadcast channel, allowing two-way communication when needed. This makes it simple for managers to provide additional information, answer questions, or engage with caregivers while keeping everyone in the organization informed.
