Manage Contacts

Updated over a year ago

The largest group of caregivers in the world are families and friends who take care of their close ones. We designed dala.care around the care recipient, contacts and caregivers.

A care recipient can have unlimited contacts and the contacts can be granted access to view the schedule and visit notes if you choose.

Contacts can be individuals or businesses.

Contacts can have relationships to multiple care recipients on the platform, even between Workspaces. This opens up the ability to share care plans with medical contacts that provide services to multiple care providers. Family members can also monitor schedules for multiple care recipients across home care providers.

Through the contact list in the Team app, you have quick access to contact details and the ability to email or call (with computer connected telephones) contacts.

Add Contact

Care recipient contacts are managed through the care recipient profile page.

Add a contact and provide their contact information. The email address is used to identify if the person is already a dala.care contact on the platform and in that case, a new relationship between that user and this care recipient is created.

Every contact has a relationship type and may have one or more roles associated.

The roles are used for communications, billing and account management purposes.

Contact roles:

  • Primary contact - There can only be one primary contact for each care recipient. This is the person that is always the first contact regarding care or emergency situations.

  • Power of attorney - A person or people who can make decisions on behalf of the care recipient.

  • Payer - The people that are responsible for paying for the service provided.

App access

You can manage the contact's access to the care recipient schedule, care plan and contacts through the App access option. If checked, the contact will receive an invite to https://app.dala.care where they can access a read only view for the care recipient information.

Deactivate Contact

If for some reason a contact should no longer be associated with a care recipient, you can remove them from the list of contacts be opening the edit dialog from the three dots in the top right corner of the contact card. Doing so will remove the connection between the care recipient and the contact. The contact will still have access to the dala.care platform, but no access to the care recipient information or data. They will also be removed from the list of contacts in the dala.care App for the selected care recipient.
